The ability to create several groups in which you can associate the same child, for example for extracurricular activities on the ChildDiary platform, is extremely important because it allows for better organisation, communication and monitoring of children's activities.

1. Efficient organisation

Educators can group children according to the extracurricular activities they are enrolled in (such as sports, music, arts or study support).

2. Direct and personalised communication

Allows specific information to be sent to the parents and carers of only those children involved in the activity, avoiding confusion with unnecessary communications.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation

Teachers can monitor children's progress in each activity and record personalised observations.

4. Improved Experience for Children and Parents

Parents receive only relevant information about the activities in which their children participate, increasing involvement and satisfaction.

Centralising information in ChildDiary avoids the need for multiple means of communication.

This feature doesn't just have to be used for schools with this type of activity. In fact, it can be used in any organisation where it makes sense for the same child to be associated with more than one group.

To do this, all that's needed is for the management profile to follow these steps:

Step 1 - Start by creating the groups you want

Step 2 - Define the name of the new group. You can also immediately select children who are part of this group and Save.

Step 3 - Add the professional to this group by creating a new user in the "All" room.

Step 4 - Set the profile options.  If this professional is external to the school, they will only have access to the groups they need and with ‘no’ ticked in the ‘Can see children's history’ option. This is the only way to maintain the privacy of the teacher's room. You can have an educator profile to make records for the children and the group.

Note 1: The teacher can assign each child a new room individually. Here's how.

Note 2: recording entries and exits using the qr code will only record entry into this child's main group. The other groups associated with the child are considered secondary groups. Registering the child's presence in secondary groups must be done manually.
