How to register attendance with QR codes for family members WITH ACCESS
Step 1 - The education professional must click on the option "QR Codes Reader" (present in Daily Routines or in the top right menu)

Step 2 - Follow the instruction to point your device (mobile phone or tablet) to the code present in the Families WITH Access app. Attendance is automatically recorded.
Validity of the QR code for family members WITH access
For security reasons the codes are automatically modified in the platform (not affecting in any way its normal use).
How to register the attendance with QR codes for family members WITHOUT access
On the platform there are two ways in which professionals can register the presence of children for families WITHOUT access:
- Manually
- Generating a card with a QR code for relatives WITHOUT access
Generate a card with a QR code for relatives WITHOUT access
To do this:
Step 1 - Access the "People" menu of your classroom
Step 3 - Select the "Generate QR Code" option from the familiar

Step 4 - You can print or save for the PDF to be emailed to the family
Who can generate a QR code card for family members WITHOUT access
The educator or the manager can generate this card to give to the family. In this way, this family member is identified as authorized to take the child from the institution.
Validity of the card with QR code for family WITHOUT access
This card cannot be shared with other people. Is valid for 7 years from the day it was generated.
What if the family member is no longer allowed to take the child?
If the family member is no longer authorised to take the child, they can deactivate the person's code at any time. As well as re-activating it.
Step 1 - Access the "People" menu of your classroom
Step 3 - Select the "Generate QR Code" option from the familiar

What if the device cannot read the code?
When it is not possible to read the code, the manual introduction of the code is available (staff member manually writes the code present in the app for family members WITH access or in the card for family members WITHOUT access)
Who can register attendance with QR Codes?
All staff members can register the attendance of all children in the institution
What if the family member has more than one child associated?
- Family members WITH access have more than one child on their ChildDiary account can choose to register the presence of one or more children at the same time on their device
- The family member with NO access is allowed to have more than one child will have a different card for each child
If you do not have internet access
If for some reason the institution or the family WITH access does not have internet access you can register the child's presence manually. To do so, see this article.
