What types of profiles you can create


In ChildDiary you can associate each child with two types of profiles:

  • WITH access to ChildDiary - a user will be created so that it can access all the child's information (daily routines, messages, etc).
  • WITHOUT access to ChildDiary - you are only allowed to pick up your child from the institution.


How to add Family Members WITH access to ChildDiary

To add a family member WITH access to a child's Profile, simply:


Step 1 - Select the Group the child belongs to (if the Educator has more than one Group)

Step 2 - Choose the option "People".

Step 3 - In the child, select the option "View family".


Step 4 - Select the "Add family member" option


Step 5 - Fill in the e-mail address of the family member and choose the "next" option


Step 6 - Fill in all the fields or only the mandatory fields.

Step 7 - Save all the necessary information.


How to add Family Members WITHOUT access to ChildDiary


To add family members WITHOUT access to ChildDiary you can:


Step 1 - Select the Group the child belongs to (if the Educator has more than one Group)

Step 2 - Choose the option "People"

Step 3 - In the child, select the option "View family"

 

Step 4 - Select the "Add family member" option


Step 5 - Fill in the mandatory field "Id. Number".


Step 6 - Fill in all the fields or only the mandatory fields.


Step 7 - Define if the profile is authorised to take the child and if it is an emergency contact

Step 8 - Save when it's done


What kind of data can I register for a Family member WITH access?

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Kinship
  • Identification number
  • Occupation
  • Qualifications
  • Address
  • Is authorized to take child
  • Is emergency contact


Who sees Family information?


All the information will be accessible to all users with Manager or Teacher roles.


Users with Assistant role CAN ONLY VIEW the following information:

  • Whether or not you have access to ChildDiary
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone number
  • Kinship
  • Identification number
  • Is authorized to take child
  • Is emergency contact


Important notes

  • A child can have many family members
  • After adding a family member WITH access, the application sends an automatic email explaining how to activate the account.
  • A family member WITH access can have multiple children associated to the same email.
